Carnival Mutzen (Quark balls)
Ingredients:
125 g quark
50 g sugar
1 egg
4-6 tbsp milk
1 pinch of salt
200 g flour
½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
Preparation:
Beat the eggs and sugar until frothy. Stir in the quark and sifted flour.
Dissolve the baking soda in a little water and add. Stir until a medium-firm dough is formed.
Using 2 tablespoons, drop the dough into hot fat like dumplings. Bake until golden brown on all sides, remove and drain.
Finally, sprinkle the dumplings with icing sugar.
