Exhibition: Waiting loop in the hair

Frank Osthoff is best known as the author of humorous short stories such as ‘Stusszucker’ and ‘Fräulein Paula fährt Zug’, which are always written with a wink and a smile to sweeten the day for his readers. This time, however, Frank Osthoff is not returning to the museum railway station with a new story, but with an exhibition. The exhibition features works by various artists who have visually realised the author's delight in wordplay. The exhibition includes illustrations by Jair Diederichs, Ann-Katrin Gödde and Björn Lockee.

Visitors to this exhibition in the historic waiting hall of the museum railway station can look forward to Miss Persil from the upper floor, important specialist information on the first horse in the cosmos and even indispensable tips for the next trip to the North Pole. There is also a preview of a celebrated cinema film that was never made... An exhibition where laughter is allowed and art does not have to be taken seriously - perhaps a welcome change for the darker time of year.

The exhibition will be opened by the artist himself on Friday 27 September at 7.30 pm in the Ahütte museum station. All interested guests are cordially invited to attend, admission is free.

About the artist:
Frank Osthoff was born in Castrop-Rauxel in 1971. Grew up in Hagen/Westphalia. Studied translation at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences. Publications: 2013 collection of texts ‘BiskuitRolle rückwärts’. 2015 Collection of texts ‘Rheinischer Reißverschlussverkauf’. 2020 Twelve short stories ‘Stusszucker’.
