Meeting point for the free New Year's hike: 10:00 AM at the Fountain Square. At 11:45 AM, the New Year's greeting follows, and at 12:00 PM, the New Year salute shooting takes place from the Löwenburg rock. A cozy get-together follows at the Löwenburg. The local chapter of the German Red Cross (DRK) in Gerolstein provides for the culinary well-being.
