Eifelverein Hillesheim "Rund um Neroth"

We start our hike at the intersection of Layenstraße/Hauptstraße in Neroth. There, we begin an interesting circular tour through the diverse volcanic landscape. The main attractions along our way are the Nerother Kopf with the ruins of the Freudenkoppe and the millstone caves. A final stop for refreshments is planned.

Carpooling for transportation, €3 per person.

Hiking distance: 16 km, 355 m elevation gain (moderate)

The way to it leads through a juniper heather near Pelm and depending on the season there is also a flora worth seeing and worth protecting.
