The hiking route initially heads towards Sandborn and meets the "Heimatpfad" with its large geological clock. After crossing K 33, we ascend towards Roth. There we reach the millstone caves/ice caves. In underground galleries, millstones were mined in the past. The caves were also used as ice caves for a long time. Anyone wanting to enter a cave should bring a good flashlight. After a short ascent, we find ourselves on the volcanic cone "Rother Kopf." From here, there are beautiful views of the Oosbach valley, but also towards the north. From there, we hike over the Eifelsteig past the "Rother Hecke" back to the starting point and namesake of the tour - back to the reservoir. A final meal is planned.
