Benefit concert in favour of the association ‘Hilfe für Frauen in Not FIN e.V.’ On Saturday, 28 September 2024, at 19:00, Soroptimist International Vulkaneifel, in cooperation with the KEB Bildungswerk Hillesheim, invites you to a special benefit concert in the town hall of Hillesheim (Burgstraße 6, 54576 Hillesheim). Admission is free, donations in favour of the association ‘Hilfe für Frauen in Not FIN e.V.’ in Gerolstein are requested. As part of this concert, pianist Leo Kwon from South Korea will present romantic piano works by outstanding female composers of the Romantic period. The programme includes works by Clara Schumann and Fanny Hensel (née Mendelssohn) as well as a work by Hildegard von Bingen. The highlight of the evening will be character pieces and the enchanting etude ‘Un sospiro’ by Franz Liszt. Leo Kwon, who began his musical career in Busan in 2012, is now a celebrated pianist. After his training in Frankfurt with Prof. Eike Wernhard and a successful master's degree, which he completed in 2023, he won international competitions in Spain and Italy. Kwon currently lives in Bingen am Rhein and works as a piano teacher. His interpretations are characterised by virtuosity and emotional depth and never fail to delight audiences.
