Picture lecture on the occasion of the exhibition in our historic waiting hall about the artistic-documentary works of the photographers Marc Hillesheim and Olaf Kaul in the Eifel millstone district: "Finsterlay is the name of an imaginary place in a real world. According to photographers Marc Hillesheim and Olaf Kaul, it symbolises mystical power. For the darkness, the cold of the night in the basalt pits and the eternal darkness in the lava cellars, where centuries ago our ancestors dug their way through the interior of the lava flow. But Finsterlay is also an invitation to see this landscape with different eyes."

Admission is free.

Erinnerung an die Eisenbahn zwischen Eifel und Venn

In October 2004, the last special trips took place in the direction of the German border, where the track between Jünkerath and Losheim was being dismantled at the same time. An occasion for an evening of shared memories of the time when trains still travelled between the Venn and the Eifel. In conjunction with a joint dinner (€ 25.00 per person plus drinks).
