Under the expert guidance of a mushroom expert, we offer interested participants, including children, a mushroom hike in the forests of the Gerolstein region. Start is at 1:00 p.m. The mushroom hunt takes about 2 hours There is a charge of 20.00 euros per participant for the mushroom dish. The maximum number of participants is 15 and the acceptance is based on the number of registrations received. The 9 km hiking route leads from Sandborn along the "Heimatpfad" to the millstone caves/ice caves in Roth. After a climb, we reach the volcanic cone "Rother Kopf" with beautiful views. The return route takes us along the Eifelsteig to the reservoir. A concluding stop is planned. Orchideen und weitere botanische Highlights des Salmwaldes

The Salmwald is the largest contiguous forest area in the Vulkaneifel by area. What many don't know - a multitude of botanical treasures are hidden in the Salmwald. If you feel like discovering some of these botanical beauties, I will lead you on my approximately 5-6 km long hike to these hidden locations. A camera should definitely not be missing from your backpack. Sturdy footwear and rain protection are recommended, please bring your own provisions. Dates available upon request.
