Winterwanderung Quellenweg Müllenborn mit dem Eifelverein Gerolstein

Gerolstein

The 7 km long hike begins at Müllenborner Weiher and from there one ascends around the Ooser Nase. Everywhere one encounters the remnants of volcanic past. Huge boulders from the Rother Kopf volcano, which rises on the opposite side, are scattered throughout the forest. After leaving the forest, there is a view of Büdesheim, which lies in a wide valley on the eastern edge of the Prümer Limestone Basin. A beautiful hike that offers both a splendid forest walk and lovely panoramic views.

Under the expert guidance of a mushroom expert, we offer interested participants, including children, a mushroom hike in the forests of the Gerolstein region. Start is at 1:00 p.m. The mushroom hunt takes about 2 hours There is a charge of 20.00 euros per participant for the mushroom dish. The maximum number of participants is 15 and the acceptance is based on the number of registrations received. The parking lot by the tennis courts in Kerpen is the starting point of the approximately 11 km long hike. The route passes by Kerpen Castle and through a meadow landscape to Niederehe. The return trip goes through Loogh back to Kerpen, where the fringed gentian can be admired. The fare from/to Gerolstein is 3 € per person. Please plan for your own backpack refreshments. Fackelwanderung zum Jahresabschluss des Eifelverein Stadtkyll

Zur traditionellen Jahresabschlusswanderung mit Fackeln und Lichter laden wir alle Wanderfreunde, insbesondere aber auch die Kinder recht herzlich ein.We cordially invite all hikers, especially children, to the traditional end-of-year hike with torches and lights. We start on 28.12.2024, at 6 pm at the church square and hike on small detours to "Haus Petra", where we end the club year comfortably at the winter campfire with mulled wine and cocoa.
